Rene Gerritsma
Groupleader and Principle Investigator of the Hybrid atom-ion Quantum Systems group, University of Amsterdam
Rene Gerritsma studied Physics in The University of Groningen (2002), He got PhD in 2007 in Amsterdam University, and then a postdoc degree in The Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in 2011. From 2011 to 2013 he was Research associate, University Mainz, AG Quantum. In 2021 physicist Rene Gerritsma received a Vici grant of 1.5 million euros from the Dutch Research Council (NWO) to work on a programmable quantum simulator.
