Jacqueline Bloch
Research Director, Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) Professor, Ecole Polytechnique Member of the French Academy of Science

Jacqueline Bloch is a Professor at Ecole Polytechnique and a member of the French Academy of Science. She is an internationally recognized expert in quantum and non- linear optics and light matter interaction in semiconductors. The main research line she has developed is related to the physics of quantum fluids of polaritons, bosonic light- matter quasi-particles arising from the strong coupling regime between excitons and photons. Jacqueline Bloch has performed pioneering experiments on polariton condensates and their manipulation in engineered lattices.
