Ilya Semerikov
Researcher, P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute, RQC

Ilya Semerikov is a researcher at PN Lebedev Physical Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences and at Russian Quantum Center. He completed his PhD at Lebedev institute under supervision of professor Kolachevsky in 2020 on the “Laser cooling of Mg + and Yb + ions in a quadrupole Paul trap for quantum logic”. In 2018 Semerikov suggested double-EIT scheme for efficient cooling of ytterbium ions. From 2018 to 2020 he was one of the key members of a team that made first transportable optical ytterbium ion clock in Russia. Now he is a leading developer of the Russian ion quantum computer under LRC grant.
